Ming ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website and services available at soodori.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile image from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

1.2 Birth Information

To provide destiny readings, we collect your date of birth, time of birth (optional), gender, and birth city. If you use our compatibility feature, we also collect this information for the person you choose to compare with.

1.3 Conversation Data

We store the messages exchanged between you and our AI assistant. All conversation data and birth chart data are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored in our database. This means that even in the event of a database breach, your conversations cannot be read without the encryption key, which is stored separately.

1.4 Usage Data

We track how many readings you have used for the purpose of enforcing plan limits. We do not track your browsing behavior, IP address, or device information beyond what is strictly necessary for the Service to function.

1.5 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account details, or other financial information. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy for information on how they handle your payment data.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service, including generating personalized destiny readings based on your birth information
To authenticate your identity and manage your account
To process payments and manage your subscription
To remember your conversation history so you can continue previous readings
To improve our Service, but only if you have opted in to data usage for service improvement in your Settings

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties under any circumstances.

3. Data Usage for Service Improvement

When you create an account, you are given the option to allow your conversation data to be used for improving our Service. This setting is enabled by default but can be changed at any time in your Settings.

If you opt in, we may analyze anonymized and aggregated patterns from your conversations to improve the quality and accuracy of our readings. We will never publish, share, or make publicly available any individual conversation data.

If you opt out, your conversation data is used solely for providing the Service to you (storing your chat history) and is not analyzed for any other purpose.

4. Data Storage and Security

All conversation data and birth chart data are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored
Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure located in the United States
Encryption keys are stored separately from the database and are accessible only to our server-side application
We use HTTPS for all data transmission
Authentication is handled through Google OAuth 2.0, an industry-standard protocol

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We use third-party services that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Google (authentication), and Anthropic (AI processing). Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.
AI Processing: When you send a message, your birth chart data and conversation history are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's data usage policy applies to this processing. We do not send your name, email, or other identifying information to Anthropic.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Delete Conversations: You can delete all your conversation history at any time through the Settings page
Withdraw Data Consent: You can opt out of data usage for service improvement at any time through the Settings page
Account Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email address below
Data Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you by contacting us
Data Portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
The right to request deletion of your personal information
The right to opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information
The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored and processed in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
